Reuben Sandwich (New York Deli Classic)

02 Ingredients
4 slices Rye Bread
200g Corned Beef (sliced)
4 slices Swiss Cheese
½ cup Sauerkraut (drained well)
4 tbsp Russian Dressing (or Thousand Island)
2 tbsp Butter (softened)
To serve Pickles
03 Method
Step 1
Butter one side of each slice of Rye Bread.
Step 2
Spread Russian Dressing on the unbuttered side of two slices.
Step 3
Layer Corned Beef, Sauerkraut, and Swiss Cheese on top of the dressing.
Step 4
Top with the remaining Bread slices, buttered side facing out.
Step 5
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes until the bread is golden brown.
Step 6
Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 3–4 minutes until the Cheese is melted.
Step 7
Remove from the skillet, cut in half, and serve hot with Pickles.
