02 Ingredients
2 Salmon Fillets (about 180–200g each)
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Mirin (or substitute with rice vinegar + ½ tsp sugar)
1 tbsp Brown Sugar (or Honey)
1 clove Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Fresh Ginger (grated)
1 tbsp Olive Oil or Sesame Oil
Optional Sesame Seeds & Green Onions (for garnish)
Optional Steamed Rice (to serve)
03 Method
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix Soy Sauce, Mirin, Brown Sugar, Garlic, and Ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
Step 2
Pat the Salmon fillets dry and season lightly with Salt.
Step 3
Heat Oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Place the Salmon skin-side down and cook for 3–4 minutes until golden.
Step 5
Flip the Salmon and pour in the teriyaki sauce.
Step 6
Cook for another 3–4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the Salmon until it thickens and glazes.
Step 7
Remove from heat, garnish with Sesame Seeds and Green Onions, and serve with Steamed Rice.
